Alert! Punjab Traffic Police Crackdown 2026: Unpaid E-Challans to be Recovered on Spot with One App System

Lahore, April 3, 2026 – Punjab Traffic Police has stepped up efforts to recover outstanding traffic fines across the province. The department is now using the newly introduced One App system to make enforcement stricter and more efficient for all motorists in Punjab.

DIG Traffic Lahore Waqar Nazir confirmed that unpaid e-challans will be checked and collected on the spot, no matter which city or district the driver is stopped in. This centralized approach aims to improve recovery rates and bring greater discipline on Punjab roads.

What is the New One App System?

Launched earlier this year by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the Digital Traffic E-Challan One App is a modern centralized platform. It allows traffic officers to:

  • Issue e-challans backed by video evidence
  • Instantly check a vehicle’s challan history and documents
  • Access real-time data during roadside checks

The system is being rolled out gradually across different districts and is designed to reduce paperwork while increasing transparency in traffic enforcement.

Why This Crackdown is Happening Now

Thousands of e-challans remain unpaid in Punjab. With the new One App, authorities can now track defaulters more effectively throughout the province. Officials say this will make it difficult for repeated violators to avoid paying their fines, whether they are in Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan or any other city.

Motorists caught with pending fines during routine checks may have to clear them immediately or face further action, including possible vehicle impounding.

How to Check and Pay Your Pending E-Challans

It is strongly advised to verify your challan status before hitting the road:

  • Download the official PSCA Public Safety App or visit the PSCA e-challan portal.
  • Enter your vehicle registration number or CNIC to see any outstanding fines.
  • Pay online through easy digital payment options.

Clearing old fines now can help you avoid inconvenience during travel or police checks.

This latest move by Punjab Traffic Police is part of a broader initiative to modernize traffic management, enhance road safety, and ensure fair enforcement for everyone on Punjab’s roads.
